Well I am about 2 months away from going back to work and this baby weight has lingered! I did so well the first time around losing it and I feel much busier this time, however it just isn't leaving!!
I think a part of it is all of the sickness we've had in this house. It's a vicious cycle that goes something like this...
I get motivated.
I get into a routine.
Meals are working out well and are on the healthier side.
Uh oh someone isn't feeling well.
NO SLEEP. ONE TIRED MOMMY... you want me to cook? I can barely stand on two feet. Mmmm a bag of chips will make me feel better.
Next day, regret.
And now start all over again!!
BUT I am thinking positive and hoping that with the warmer weather, we're on our way to a healthy happy home and on the way to actually claiming the title of Yummy Mummy!
With that being said, tell me, how do you stay motivated? What makes you get your lazy butt on that treadmill day in and day out? Why do you go to the gym?
Please share!!!
And for tomorrow's question..
HOW do you keep on a routine of making healthy meals?
Hello! Welcome to my Blog. So I don't YET consider myself a Yummy Mummy, more of a Yummy Mummy in training. I want to be able to share my trials and tribulations as Mother of two. From finding a work-life balance to losing those post baby pounds. I am hoping that you would like to share your throughts and ideas too!

God Keep Our Land
I can't help but be a little bit angered that this is really even a debate.
I love the muliculturism that Canada is, but I also think we need to keep some of what we once were.
Yes, please bring your cultures and beliefs when you move to Canada, but also respect ours! We don't ask you to change yours, so why do we have to change ours?
What are your thoughts on this topic?
Shock on CBC Yesterday Morning
I bet the response came as a big surprise to CBC to the question :
Do you believe that the word God should stay in Canadian culture?
CBC yesterday morning had a poll on this question. They had the highest number of responses that they have ever had for one of their polls, and the percentage was the same as this:
86% to keep the words “ God Keep our Land” in the National Anthem 14% against
That is a pretty 'commanding' public response.
I was asked to send this on if I agreed or delete if I didn't ..
Now it is your turn. It is said that 86% of Canadians believe the word “God” should stay, therefore, I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having the word “God” in the anthem! Why is the country catering to this 14%?
AMEN!
If you agree, pass this on!

The Coundown to Princess Avangelina's 3rd Birthday!
Wow it is hard to believe that in 3 days my daughter will be 3! What? I have a 3 yr. old? Where in the world did time go to? I would be lying if I said I am fine with this, I'm not! I feel like time is moving to fast now and I want it to slow down.
I had a conversation with Avangelina a few days ago and I told her, "Avangelina, can you please stop growing" and she looked at me like I had two heads and said, "why?" Then I thought, geesh, how do you explain to a 3 yr. old that I do not want them to get any older?? So I just said, "I love you just how you are and I don't want you to get any bigger". She just walked away. Really what could she say **L**
So instead of focusing on the anxiety I have that life is moving to fast and before I know it she'll be 16, wanting to borrow the Ban a.k.a the Van and I will be sitting here freaking out!!! HA see there I go again! .... but really onto the fun stuff!
I am SO excited about her birthday party! Avangelina is VERY into Princesses, not a shock for those of you who know her! Barely a day goes by that she isn't in a "party dress" and running around the house in heels. And yes, she can run better in heals than I can.... we're in trouble!
She doesn't know yet, but we've hired Cinderella to show up at her party and I can't wait! I think I will have trouble sleeping Friday night.
We have invited all her little friends and they will get to decorate their own princess cakes and dress up like princesses and knights!
And then after the friends party, we're moving right in to the family party, which should be good too, however, there goes the "healthy" eating. Honestly, how do you hold back when there are just soooooo many delicious things to eat! Yes, it's my own fault for making them, but I can't help myself, I love entertaining everyone!
And to add to the specialness of the day, Avangelina will celebrate her 3rd birthday with her Aunt who is turning 40!
On that note, it's off to the Bulk Barn to buy candy for cake decorating!!
Sorry I know this one was long!

So here it goes!
I have been thinking about doing a blog now for sometime, but as always, life just got in the way.
So here I am, two sick kids finally in bed and I am sitting here with a peppermint tea in hopes that it will fight off the stomach bug that has once again shown it's ugly face!
It's funny because I remember thinking to myself last week, "next week is Avangelina's birthday and I just KNOW that if we're going to get the stomach bug that's going around, that is when we'll get it"... and low and behold! Hmmm maybe a career as a Psychic?
So what I really want to accomplish out of this blog is to share my life experiences with everyone in hopes that other people will see that they are not alone out there! Life is tough with or without kids. There are so many challenges always presenting themselves; health, finances, weight, love, work, etc.
I would also love to get YOU talking, so if you would like to be a guest blogger, please contact me!
Thanks to everyone for being a part of this! I can't wait to see where it goes!
